Portland — What a can of worms has been opened. The superficially informed never anticipated the consequences of what federal takeovers of big business and big banking would result in. Obviously, when Obama made the loans that were so necessary and had to be passed with such expedience, he was either lying because he had an agenda to takeover and nationalize banks and industry or he is a total idiot who had no idea of what were to be the results of what he was doing. Either way, we are in worse shape now for what he and the congress have done.

The loans were made to avert bankruptcy for the auto makers. Now, the automakers are going through the process Obama said they were too big and important to go through in the first place. So, all that resulted from the loans was government control and the wasting of billions of taxpayer dollars. The same can be said of the banks. With the money dumped by the Feds into the banking system, not one person has kept his or her house because of it and not one loan has been lowered to be more affordable. So where did that money go; those hard earned tax dollars? No one is saying and no one is required to. As a result, banks have now come under the thumb of the Federal government and Obama.

But why would Obama want to control so much? With control of banking and industry comes control of billions of dollars. Money can be funneled to pro Obama union workers and he can put in place his own supporters to run the companies. He can use his power over the industries and banks to coerce those that would otherwise support opposing political parties and candidates by threatening to replace them with his own people if they refused to play nice. Political donations won’t be mandatory from these businesses but who will garner more favor from the fascist Obama; those who give their money to Obama or his foes?

And so, as Obama now pushes to run the medical industry in America, think of this; when the money runs low and rationing of health care begins, who will choose who lives and who dies? Will it be too expensive to treat old people? Will there be an Affirmative Action for rationed health care? Or perhaps we will use the Chinese as an example and limit the number of children people can have. In any case, freedom will be lost and almost impossible to regain. It is time to put the worms back in the can before it is too late.
