Portland — In light of the recent revelation that Obama is a bully and likes to pick on those less fortunate than himself, namely the mentally challenged, perhaps the media should stop giving the teleprompter dependent President a pass on his many faux pas. When script less, there is a constant barrage of blunders from the mouth of the addled Commander and Chief but he is always forgiven by the adoring, mind-numbed press.

Dan Quayle, the poster boy of bewilderment for the left, read the wrong spelling of the word “potato” during a spelling bee at the Munoz Rivera School in Trenton, NJ, the rest is history;

"What are we supposed to do?’’ I asked Keith Nahigian, the advance man who had prepared this little photo op,’’ Quayle wrote.

"Just sit there and read these words off some flash cards, and the kids will go up and spell them at the blackboard,’’ the handler told the VP.

"Has anyone checked the card?’’ another aide asked.

"Oh, yeah,’’ responded Nahigian. "We looked at them and they’re just very simple words. No big deal.’’

Enter William Figueroa, 12, a sixth-grader from the Mott School in the South Ward who had been bused to Munoz Rivera to take part in the vice presidential event.

Figueroa knew how to spell potato, and he wrote it in a legible script on the blackboard when Quayle announced his word for the spelling bee.

Quayle looked at the blackboard, then at his contest card, and gently and quietly told the boy, "You’re close, but you left a little something off. The e on the end.

"So William, against his better judgment and trying to be polite, added an e’’ and won applause for it from those assembled in the classroom, including Mayor Doug Palmer, Quayle wrote.”- http://www.capitalcentury.com/1992.html

Because the left are elitists and believe themselves smarter than everyone else, especially the Neanderthalic Right, guys like Obama are said to make honest mistakes, or are tired, or have spent so much energy being brilliant that they get passes on their mental shortcomings. Truth is, the writers and so-called journalists that follow these intellectual phonies are even more stupid than them and are either entirely duped or lying when they witness and report on the bloopers spewed endlessly from these politician’s pie holes.

For years, every morning the local talk radio show played “Bushisms” to demonstrate the misnomer that President George W. Bush was a moron. This was an effectual tool in stirring the superficially informed to the myth of right wing idiocy. It is time for the press and particularly this radio show to be intellectually honest with themselves and put forth a fair and balanced portrait of our current President. Here are a few suggestions, a mere 14 pages from various sources to get them started; there are plenty more to choose from…..

OBAMAISMS-

Obama: "Well, I think what it is, Tim, is, you know, that no person is defined by a few snippets taken over the course of a number of years …Well, Tim, I think that all of us have people in our lives who may have done some good things, and then we also see them doing some things that are disappointing. … Well, Tim, first of all, it's not me who's criticized these proposals." … NBC's Matt Lauer: "I just want to say, I know you've had a very long week, and so have I. You're saying Tim. I know, it's Matt Lauer. But believe me, I completely understand." Obama: "Matt, I'm sorry." Lauer: "We've both had a long week, Senator, believe me." (NBC's "Today," 5/5/08)

On April 8, Obama Confused Iran And Iraq In Senate Foreign Relations Committee Hearing. Obama: "Do we feel confident that the Iraqi government is directing these aid these special groups?" (Sen. Barack Obama, Foreign Relations Committee Hearing, 4/8/08)

In August 2007, Obama Said American Troops Were "Just Air Raiding Villages And Killing Civilians" In Afghanistan. "So now you have narco, you know, drug lords, who are helping to finance the Taliban. So we've got to get the job done there. And that requires us to have enough troops that we're not just air raiding villages and killing civilians, which is causing enormous problems there." (Sen. Barack Obama, Remarks At Nashua, NH, 8/13/07)

In July 2007, Obama Asked An Iowa Crowd "Anybody Gone Into Whole Foods Lately And See What They Charge For Arugula?" Even Though Iowa Does Not Have A Whole Foods. "'Anybody gone into Whole Foods lately and see what they charge for arugula?' the senator said. 'I mean, they're charging a lot of money for this stuff.' In March 2008, Obama Mistakenly Thought He Was In Wisconsin When He Was In Wyoming

Obama Mistakenly Thought He Was In Wisconsin When He Was In Wyoming. "To be sure, many patrons at the crowded diner applauded Obama and wished him luck. Obama Mistakenly Claimed That Sen. Rockefeller Was Chairman Of The Senate Intelligence Committee At The Time Of The Vote To Authorize War In Iraq, And Misrepresented Rockefeller's Vote By Implying That He Voted Against Authorization. "Now, I have to say, when it came to making the most important foreign policy decision of our generation, the decision to invade Iraq, Senator Clinton got it wrong. She didn't read the National Intelligence Estimates. Jay Rockefeller read it, but she didn't read it. I don't know what all that experience got her because I have enough experience to know that if you have a National Intelligence Estimate and the chairman of the national -- chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee says you should read this, this is why I'm voting against the war, that you should probably read it. I don't know how much experience you need for that." (CNN's "Newsroom," 3/3/08)

"The Problem? Rockefeller Voted For War. Obama's Statement Left The Impression That Rockefeller Was The Chair Of The Intelligence Committee, Read The NIE Report And Then Voted Against The War. Rockefeller, Who Is Currently The Chair, Was Not Chair At The Time And Cast His Vote For War, Not Against It." (Sunlen Miller, "Obama Campaign Confuses Their Surrogate's War Vote," ABC News' "Political Radar" Blog, blogs.abcnews.com, 3/2/08)

On February 2008, Obama Said The Cuban Embargo Was Enacted For Sen. Clinton's Entire Lifetime

Obama Said The Cuban Embargo Has Been In Existence "During My Entire Lifetime, And Senator Clinton's Entire Lifetime." Brown: "But that's different from your position back in 2003. You called U.S. policy toward Cuba a miserable failure, and you supported normalizing relations. So you've backtracked now…" Obama: "I support the eventual normalization. And it's absolutely true that I think our policy has been a failure. I mean, the fact is, is that during my entire lifetime, and Senator Clinton's entire lifetime, you essentially have seen a Cuba that has been isolated, but has not made progress when it comes to the issues of political rights and personal freedoms that are so important to the people of Cuba. So I think that we have to shift policy. I think our goal has to be ultimately normalization." (CNN Democratic Presidential Debate, Austin, TX, 2/21/08)

The Economic Embargo On Cuban Only Began On October 19, 1960, And The Total Embargo Did Not Begin Until February 7, 1962. "Oct. 19, 1960: U.S. imposes economic embargo on Cuba, except food and medicine. Feb. 7, 1962: The Cuban embargo is expanded to a total embargo. Feb. 8, 1963: The Kennedy administration makes financial and commercial transactions with Cuba illegal for U.S. citizens." (William Neikirk, "House Deal Eases Curbs Against Cuba," Chicago Tribune, 6/28/00)

But Sen. Clinton Was Born On October 26, 1947, 15 Years Before The Economic Embargo And 13 Years Before The Total Embargo. "Hillary Diane Rodham, Dorothy and Hugh Rodham's first child, was born on October 26, 1947." (The White House Website, www.whitehouse.gov, Accessed 3/27/08)

Obama Was Born August 4, 1961, Before The Total Embargo. "And Obama Was Born "Barack Obama was born on August 4th, 1961, in Hawaii to Barack Obama, Sr. and Ann Dunham." (Sen. Barack Obama Website, obama.senate.gov, 3/27/08)

In August 2007, Obama Misspoke On His Views On The Use Of Nuclear Weapons And Had To "Scratch All That"

Obama: "I think it would be a profound mistake for us to use nuclear weapons in any circumstance, involving civilians. Let me scratch all that. There's no discussion of nuclear weapons. That's not on the table."

In April 2007, Obama Incorrectly Claimed That War Opponents Were 16 Votes Away From Ending The War In Iraq

Obama: "[W]e are one vote away -- we are one signature away or 16 votes away from ending this war. One signature away. Now, if the president is not going to sign the bill that has been sent to him, then what we have to do is gather up 16 votes in order to override his veto." (Sen. Barack Obama, MSNBC Democratic Presidential Debate, Orangeburg, SC, 4/26/07)

Factcheck.org: "The Senate indeed needs 16 more votes to override a veto. But Obama didn't mention that a two-thirds majority in the House requires 72 more supporters, if all members vote. He would have been correct to say the country is "one signature away or 88 votes away." (Annenberg's Political Fact Check Website, www.factcheck.org, Accessed 4/7/08)

In June 2008, Obama Falsely Claimed His Father Served In World War II:

Right, now, obviously, something had really affected him deeply. But at that time, there just weren't the kinds of facilities to help somebody work through that kind of pain." (Sen. Barack Obama, Remarks On Memorial Day, Las Cruces, N.M., 5/26/08)

(United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Web Site, www.ushmm.org, Accessed 5/27/08)

In March 2007, Obama Claimed That His Parents Got Together After He Was Born

Obama: "This young man named Barack Obama got one of those tickets and came over to this country. He met this woman whose great great-great- great-grandfather had owned slaves; but she had a good idea there was some craziness going on because they looked at each other and they decided that we know that the world as it has been it might not be possible for us to get together and have a child. There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Alabama, because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born. So don't tell me I don't have a claim on Selma, Alabama. Don't tell me I'm not coming home to Selma, Alabama." (Remarks By Barack Obama At Selman Voting Rights March Commemoration, Selma, AL, 3/4/07)

In June 2008, Obama Referred To An "Inhaler" As A "Breathalyzer" And Then A "Inhalator" Twice:

Obama Referred To An "Inhaler" As A "Breathalyzer" And Then A "Inhalator" Twice. Obama: "Everybody knows that it makes no sense that you send a kid to the emergency room for a treatable illness like asthma, they end up taking up a hospital bed, it costs, when if you, they just gave, you gave treatment early, and they got some treatment, and a breathalyzer, or an inhalator, not a breathalyzer (Laughter.)

In June 2008, Obama Was Unable To Complete A Sentence:

It-it would cost us about the same as it would cost for about hold on one second I can't hear myself.

Applause.) - a Illinoisan, somebody from my home state, indicates how wise he is. So, I am so grateful for his support. I'm so grateful for his endorsement and his friendship. In April 2007, Obama Repeatedly Called The National Action Network The "Urban Action Network" Until He Was Corrected By The Crowd

Obama Was Corrected By The Crowd At The National Action Network. Obama: "That's why, when I come before the Urban Action Network … These issues that the Urban Action Network talks about…" Crowd: "National!" Obama: "National." (Sen. Barack Obama, Remarks At The National Action Network, New York, NY, 4/21/07)

In September 2006, Obama Said That There Were 18 Years Between 1978 And 2006:

Obama Said That There Were 18 Years Between 1978 And 2006. Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs C. David Welch: "In my business, you can look backwards and say, 'Well, I'm discouraged because in 1978 we set up something called the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, and the interim has been there since 1978 and we're in 2006.'" … Obama: "Okay, let's assume we get to 10,000. What's your estimation, are we looking at 10,000 troops U.N. -- UNIFIL troops there semi-permanently? Let's see, from 1978 to now is about 18 (sic) years. We're going to have another 18 years, do you think?" (Sen. Barack Obama, Committee On Foreign Relations, U.S. Senate, 9/13/06)

Last May, he claimed that Kansas tornadoes killed a whopping 10,000 people: “In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died — an entire town destroyed.” The actual death toll: 12.

Over the weekend in Oregon, Obama pleaded ignorance of the decades-old, multi-billion-dollar massive Hanford nuclear waste clean-up:

“Here’s something that you will rarely hear from a politician, and that is that I’m not familiar with the Hanford, uuuuhh, site, so I don’t know exactly what’s going on there. (Applause.) Now, having said that, I promise you I’ll learn about it by the time I leave here on the ride back to the airport.”

I assume on that ride, a staffer reminded him that he’s voted on at least one defense authorization bill that addressed the “costs, schedules, and technical issues” dealing with the nation’s most contaminated nuclear waste site.

Last March, the Chicago Tribune reported this little-noticed nugget about a fake autobiographical detail in Obama’s “Dreams from My Father:”

“Then, there’s the copy of Life magazine that Obama presents as his racial awakening at age 9. In it, he wrote, was an article and two accompanying photographs of an African-American man physically and mentally scarred by his efforts to lighten his skin. In fact, the Life article and the photographs don’t exist, say the magazine’s own historians.”

Obama told a Portland crowd over the weekend that Iran doesn’t “pose a serious threat to us”–arguing that “tiny countries” with small defense budgets can’t do us harm– and then promptly flip-flopped the next day, claiming, “I’ve made it clear for years that the threat from Iran is grave.”

Obama says:

"It’s always a bad practice to say 'always' or 'never'" Source

Barack Obama expects to be the President of the United States for the next 8 to 10 years.

Today on CBS’s Face the Nation, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., in Afghanistan, told the paparazzi-pursued correspondent Lara Logan that “the objective of this trip was to have substantive discussions with people like President Karzai or Prime Minister Maliki or President Sarkozy or others who I expect to be dealing with over the next eight to 10 years.

When I asked Obama during the course of his U.S. Senate primary campaign to name his favorite author, he cited E. L. Doctorow, the critically acclaimed novelist and outspoken political liberal. The next day, during a phone conversation on a different matter, he made it a point to say that he wanted to change his answer—to William Shakespeare.

Obama patriotism speech, June 30 2008 Independence, Missouri

“As we begin our fourth century as a nation, it is easy to take the extraordinary nature of America for granted.”-Obama

If we are beginning our "fourth century as a nation" then we must have been founded as a Nation in 1708?

“Since the Bush Administration launched a misguided war in Iraq, its policy in the Americas has been negligent toward our friends, ineffective with our adversaries, disinterested in the challenges that matter in peoples' lives, and incapable of advancing our interests in the region.

No wonder, then, that demagogues like Hugo Chavez have stepped into this vacuum.”-Obama

Hugo Chavez came to power during the Clinton Administration, and was first elected President of Venezuela in 1998, two years before the Bush Administration took office.
