It is easier for those on the left to personally attack the people they disagree with then to argue policies or philosophies. This is an age old strategy that the heroes of the left, Hillary and Bill, used effectively throughout their political careers to stop the “bimbo eruptions”, the legal proceedings focused against them as well as those who offered differing political views. But without getting into all that ancient history, it is understandable why this generation of liberals would use this strategy, as vile and juvenile as it is.
Recently, a person who shall remain anonymous accused me of being racist. After posting a blog and some internet discourse, I received this message from him via the World Wide Web;
“what's disappointing about you and your ilk Sam, is the way in which you make all these negative references to race and gender (sort of like Ronald Reagan talking about 'state's rights' wink, wink), and then you react with outrage when somebody accuses you of being racist or sexist. At least have the balls to own up to your own politics--and if you're unaware of what they are, go back and read some of your rants. They are racist, which leads to the inevitable conclusion that you are racist. That's not name-calling, it's just calling a spade a spade.
Racism-
“The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.”- http://education.yahoo.com/reference/dictionary/entry/racism
Bigot-
“One who is strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ.”- http://education.yahoo.com/reference/dictionary/entry/bigot
I asked for examples of the racist comments as well as the sexist ones. I finally was messaged back with this retort;
“…the proof is in your own vitriolic verbiage, which I have neither the time nor the inclination to reread so that I might quote the damning passages.”
… No evidence was provided. Try using that closing argument in court.
I admire and respect the person who is willing to exchange comments about differing political positions and it is entertaining to read differing points of view. The fact that I am attacked personally with name calling and accusations is expected because the left is made up of a very emotional bunch. I view this as an opportunity to not defend my political views but to point out the innate racism and bigotry of liberalism.
The left claims to want a “color blind” society;
“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”- Martin Luther King
But the left judges the blacks as unable to achieve this without the help of special laws that put blacks ahead of other races even when they aren’t as qualified.
“I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: - 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.'- Martin Luther King
And yet the left is the first to see “differences “and will base laws and legislation entirely on color, creed and sexuality. Educators are taught that people can’t be color blind but then it is taken a step further and concluded that minorities can only succeed by being given “special” rights. This conclusion is flawed because it attempts to stop bigotry by using racism (see definitions above).
The liberals feel the guilt of past generations because of slavery. They want laws based on that guilt. It is difficult to debate the emotional with logic because as I was once told, “feelings are neither right or wrong, they are only there”. But to base laws on emotion is wrong. Martin Luther King (MLK) didn’t want his children viewed as inferior and unable to achieve unless someone boosted them artificially, he wanted them given the same rights and respect as everyone else. His appeal was for equality, not pity;
“It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can stop him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important.”-
Martin Luther King Jr.
Equality will be achieved when the Constitution and the laws of the land are equally applied to all; the same laws enforced for everyone and as Henry David Thoreau said, “If... the machine of government... is of such a nature that it requires you to be the agent of injustice to another, then, I say, break the law.”
I hope I didn’t make anyone cry.

It is easily gleanable by the proportionally astute.
