Portland The election of our new president Obama could not have come at a better time for the United States. Today as the GM, Ford, and Chrysler beg congress for their financial survival, Pakistan and India are exchanging threats over last weeks tragic attacks in Mumbai. Two wars continue to wage in the mid east. And unemployment at home will surely top 7% next month.
Not only is George Bush leaving a sad legacy of historic failures and unpopularity, he has abandoned his leadership position as THE DECIDER and taken up his new role as the HIDER.
And in this vacuum of despair and uncertainty left by the exiting administration is emerging not only a new, decisive president, but a new management and leadership style which is collaborative, inclusive, and thoughtful. Let us welcome The LISTENER and bid farewell to The DECIDER. There ought to be a lesson here for us all.

Sam's continued support for some of the worst political leaders that America has ever seen, and will ever be exposed to; shows his contempt for anything that might possible be done right. I mean well, Sam. (They don't mean the same thing).

Eight years of negativity from a left leaning media has poisoned the minds of countless throngs to the saturation point with "Bush Derangement Syndrome". History will paint a different portrait of Bush as a decider who made decisions unpopular but necessary in world strife with terror and economic woes. Rather than being the cause of these problems, he did his best to steer our nation through troubled waters and made America safe from terrorists long ignored by previous administrations. Let us all pray our next president really is a good leader and not someone who listens, puts his finger in the air and governs only in the direction of the populist winds.

There is a lesson to be learned alright; don't vote for party people to run anything, at any level. And hold on to your hat cause the stuff is going to get worse under the lame-duck President. Much worse!
