Brewer — Today my husband called me to say he was going to be late getting home from work. I thought no big deal, he has to finish a job. When he came home he told me why he was late, it wasn't because he had to work late but because he and two other Cianbro Employees were making a delivery to one of their employees who was having a hard time. You see this woman has had to miss work because of injuries and she is raising two little girls by herself. Our wonderful State of Maine wouldn't assist her, even the Salvation Army wouldn't assist because she didn't live in the right town. Being a single mom and trying to make ends meet, well it just wasn't working out for her right now. Another worker told my husband what was happening and my husband took the ball and ran with it. By the end of today's work day, the Brewer Cianbro workers had collected $400 and my husband and two other guys went grocery shopping and delivered it to this worker and her little girls. I can't tell you how proud I am of my husband and the Cianbro crew. Maybe our government should take the hint. Our country is falling apart and they sure don't care. Let's have them come to Brewer Maine and work with these great people and maybe learn a few things or two. All I can say is " I AM PROUD OF THE CIANBRO CREW".

Good for your husband and his co-workers. Unfortunately too many losers take advantage of state aid and the people who truly need assistance never get the help they need/deserve. I applaud your husband for making a difference!
