Winslow When my 3 year old son fell face first off a 3 wheel plastic trike, I could see some teeth had moved. I immediatley brought him to the ER. The ER doctor then contacted my dentist, Peter Schumway of Evergreen dental, to see if I could bring my son there. At this time it was approx. 4:00 pm. They said to bring him right over, they would wait for us. Andrea Taliento, Peter Schumway and the wonderful staff at Evergreen Dental all were assisting in obtaining x-rays from my 3 year old. The careing receptionist even gave my son Ben & Jerry's ice cream, a little bribery at this point can't hurt! Even with all their creative ways & patience, they were not able to obtain the x-rays needed from my son. The dentists contacted Whitney Wignall of Southern Maine Pediatric Dentistry, around 5:30pm, to see what they could do. They said I could bring him right down, they would wait. We arrived approx 6:30pm Dr. Wingall, Sheryll McCaslin and another caring assistant worked their magic and easily obtained the x-rays needed. Unfortunatley, they did need to extract one tooth.
I also received calls from both offices the following morning to check on my son.
It's not too often you experience people going above and beyond for others. Fortunatley, in my son's time of need, I had three dentist's and their staff happily working well beyond their normal business hours and giving exceptional care!
I send a sincere Thank you to: Dr. Wignall and her two assistants of Southern Maine Pediatric, and Dr. Schumway, Dr. Taliento and the caring staff of Evergreen Dental!
